Transportation Strategy
Uptown Houston is approximately 7 miles from the central business district of Houston. L-DS was selected to lead a seven-firm multi-disciplinary consultant team commissioned to identify goals and objectives as well as develop an urban design context and a framework plan of strategies, policies, programs, and projects which together would provide a basis for future development. L-DS prepared the projects to expedite their inclusion in the Capital Improvement Project budgets of selected City of Houston agencies. The firm also prepared design guidelines for implementation.
The Uptown Urban Design & Transportation Strategy earned an Honor Award in Landscape Architectural Communication from the American Society of Landscape Architects, Texas Chapter.
