L-DS was commissioned by the City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department to develop a Master Plan for Stude Park, an existing 45-acre park in the near town areas.
Stude Park is a heavily used inner-city park with a baseball field, planned soccer field, indoor recreational facilities, informal picnic area, jogging trails and exercise areas.
Planned improvements call for a project budget of $3.4 million. Funds will be provided by The City of Houston bond monies and a donation by the Brown Foundation. The Texas Department of Transportation has provided funds for treatment of land between the IH-10 right-of-way and the park.
