L-DS provided evaluation, design and construction documents services for renovation at Burrus Elementary School located in North Houston. The campus underwent upgrades including restroom accessibility, MEP maintenance and architectural interiors and exteriors.
Burrus also underwent a significant glazing system renovation to provide a more energy-efficient envelope for the building. In addition, Burrus added a new vertical circulation system to accommodate accessibility needs for one of the campus buildings that did not have an accessible route to the second floor.
This project was part of the Houston ISD’s $1.045 billion Facilities Capital Program for new facilities and upgrades.
