Ardenwood Group holds approximately 315 acres at the northeast edge of the City of Katy. Three sections of the property are already fully developed and the city has imposed a development moratorium in the interest of improving the quality of development.
L-DS was commissioned to create a land development program that would detail new development and the incorporation of existing areas into a master-planned community that would win approval and consent from the City.
The scope of the project included: detailing number, type and layout of lots; identifying the programmatic amenity package that would be acceptable to the City and the marketplace; landscape architectural design for public and residual open space; Planned Development District submission; and phasing of development. L-DS also provided ongoing consulting and advisory services.
