Griggs Road – MLK Area

L-DS provided a framework plan that highlighted the tier one node of opportunity at the intersection of Griggs Road and Martin Luther King (MLK) located in Southeast Houston. The plan highlighted the historical significance of Palm Center, improvements to the OST/South Union Neighborhood, known improvements underway, proposed additional land uses, traffic analysis and responded to the mixed level of income within the area. Five similar projects were studied and presented in the framework plan to showcase the potential opportunities and constraints. These opportunities and constraints were used to develop a conceptual program as well as parking needs based on that program.
