Downtown Triparty – San Antonio

Llewelyn-Davies Sahni served on a team providing an urban design strategy for this 70-block, transportation-related redevelopment project. The downtown revitalization involved 10 streets including Houston Street, The Alamo, The Riverwalk, the financial and historic government districts. Goals and objectives of the client, City of San Antonio, VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority, the Property Owners Association, the general public and special interests groups were identified through 120 public meetings. This information was converted into a consensus view of future downtown San Antonio.

Thematic and detailed urban design concepts and guidelines were prepared and then converted into five project packages with scope and selection process of detail design teams. L-DS was called back to resolve post construction issues, six months before the completion of the project.
