Dana Cuff, professor of architecture and urban design, author, and founding director of cityLAB at the University of California, joined L-DS and the Rice School of Architecture for the Ninth Annual Llewelyn-Davies Sahni Innovative Practice Lecture.

L-DS sponsors an annual lecture at Rice University to expose Rice students to international architects. This year, Dana Cuff shared the innovative work her and her team explore at cityLAB. She addressed many of cityLAB‘s projects including Backyard Homes, second dwelling units that can be constructed on single-family residential lots in Southern California to create more affordable housing and Deep Think, conceptual designs for workspaces that adapt to the ways we work with technology and explores alternatives to office design.
