Congratulations to L-DS’ Practice Director, Ranjan Roy, for acquiring his American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Certification.

Ranjan has over 20 years of experience in architecture, urban design, planning and economic development. He has a wide range of experience in numerous small and large scale projects in Texas, which provides him with the expertise and understanding of how to plan for the future.

Ranjan believes planning is a means of social equity within the urban fabric and aims to provide comprehensive solutions that benefit everyone. He emphasizes clear, concise, and transparent communication between client, users, and the public at all stages of a project. He strives to provide innovative, practical, and low impact solutions from the conceptual stages to keep projects within budget and on-time, rather than lose quality through value engineering after the budget has been exceeded.

At L-DS, Ranjan has led multi-disciplinary teams to successful completions of projects such as the San Jacinto Memorial Green and Campus improvements at Houston Community College (HCC) Central Campus, Urban Design or ‘Image Plan’ Studies for Hobby and Bush Intercontinental Airports, and master plans for the Houston Theater District.
