State Representative, Debra Danberg approached Llewelyn-Davies Sahni to take the initiative to design the US 59 bridges that would welcome travelers coming in from southwest Texas and Mexico. Llewelyn-Davies Sahni suggested a different design with an arch for the four replacement bridges to link the neighborhoods adjacent to the freeway and heavily landscaped edges.
